What makes these so uniquely luxurious and botanical-inspired?

Canton or “mud silk” is a pure mulberry silk made only in Guangdong, China with techniques that are traced back over 2,500 years to the Ming dynasty - making it rare and highly sought after.

Raw, pure mulberry silk is first dyed using botanicals such as wild yam and then coated with iron-rich mud. After drying in the sun, a chemical reaction occurs between the mud and dye, resulting in the fabric’s unique two-toned appearance and ability to soften with wear. Each skinny scarf is made from the most luxurious form of Mud Silk called Pizi, and hand-sewn using organic cotton threads.
